  1. 1. Environmental law means the laws that regulate the impact of human activities on the environment. Environmental law covers a broad range of activities that affect air, water, land, flora or fauna. It includes laws that relate to: Protection of animals and plants.

Discipline and specialty that studies and implements practical aspects of environmental protection and safety at work.Organisations based in the Act relating to the prevention, abatement, control of pollution and enhancement of the environment, and for purposes connected therewith. (1) This Act may be cited as the Environmental Quality Act, 1974 and shall apply to the whole ofMalaysia.
  3. 3. Environmental health and safety (EHS) officers are responsible for all aspects of an organizations compliance with occupational and environmental laws and regulations. They make frequent site visits to ensure regulatory compliance and to give training to employees and managers.
