Fire Safety Training

The Fire Safety Training Course is designed to raise awareness of fire hazards in the workplace and how to act safely in the event of an emergency fire situation, including selecting and using a fire extinguisher. The course is designed to train staff in your fire safety procedures.

  • Understanding the physics and chemistry of fire
  • Fire science
  • Fire Triangle
  • Preventive of fire
  • Development and spread of fire
  • Action in the event of fire
  • Means of raising alarm
  • Means of summoning the Fire Bomba
  • Action on hearing the fire alarm
  • Evacuation procedures
  • Practical demonstration in the use of ABC and CO2 fire extinguishers.

Safety Certificates in “Fire Safety” are awarded to participants on successful completion of course of 2days

Day 1

  • Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 Legislation
  • Bomba Act 1988 Legislation
  • Fire science and Chemistry of fire
  • Development and spread of fire
  • Select and use appropriate firefighting equipment
  • Video Presentation of real Fire

Day 2

  • Group assignment to Identify Fire Hazards
  • Review the Fire Hazards Risk
  • Group Presentation of Action Plan on Fire Hazards
  • Prepare Fire Extinguisher- Diesel, Water, ABC & Co2
  • Real firefighting with all participants compulsory
  • Review, Q & A Certificate Presentation.
